What is an implant overdenture?
An implant-supported denture is a type of overdenture that is supported by and attached to implants. A regular denture rests on the gums and is not supported by implants.
Full Dentures
What Is a full denture?
A full denture is a custom made removable appliance that replaces all missing teeth and the tissue connected to those teeth. It is made of acrylic.
Peter Newman from Castle Hill Denture Clinic uses the latest technology and materials to manufacture removable dentures, using the IvoBASE Denture System from Ivoclar.
Cast Metal & Acrylic Partial Dentures
What is a partial denture?
A partial denture is a removable applience that replaces only those spaces created by missing teeth. Wearing as partial denture prevents shifting and overerruption of existing teeth. These partial dentures can be manufactured in acrylic with stainless steal clasps or full metal ( usually in Chrome Cobalt or Gold ) with acrylic teeth and gum.
At Castle Hill Denture Clinic we use Vita and Ivoclar teeth and acrylics.
Mouthguards
Who should wear a mouthguard?
Anyone who participates in a sport that carries a risk of contact to the face.
Why do you need a mouthguard?
A mouthguard helps absorb the shock experienced by a blow to the face, which might otherwise result in an injury to the mouth and jaw, chip or broken teeth, internal damage or loss of the tooth and in severe cases other major damage can occur such as a broken jaw or concussion.
